Lakshadweep water villas, Great Nicobar project: Pushing tourism or ecological misadventure?

The sustainability pioneers of RTSOI are questioning the massive development projects that involve the destruction of millions of trees in Nicobar and the breakdown of coral rocks to construct water villas in Lakshadweep. They are demanding the government conduct carrying capacity studies, alternate models and assessments to mitigate the damage. Some are even calling for an outright ban on these destructive practices.
