Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal launched 'Cruise Bharat Mission' to enhance cruise tourism in India. The mission aims to double passenger traffic by 2029 and will be executed in three phases. The project targets developing infrastructure, increasing cruise ports, and improving the cruise experience to boost the Blue Economy and generate employment.
