The Cruise Bharat mission aims to boost India's sea cruise tourist numbers to 10 lakh by 2029. Currently, six major Indian ports have cruise terminals. A new presumptive taxation regime for non-resident cruise operators was introduced. Foreign companies are given lease and rental exemptions from April 1, 2025, lasting up to the assessment year 2030-31.
