Lakshadweep has simplified its tourist entry permit process. Visitors no longer need a local sponsor or prior police clearance. Security checks will now be conducted by Lakshadweep Police post-application. Tourists must still apply 14 days in advance, specifying all planned island visits and travel dates. Transit is limited to Kavaratti or Agatti for 12 hours.
